VIOLA'S JOURNEY

Viola Davis, daughter of the late Elnora Fletcher and Elwood Deshields, was born on February 27, 1942. She was called home while at Peak Health Care at Hartley Hall and Rehabilitation Center in Pocomoke City, Maryland on Monday, January 5, 2026 at the age of eighty-three (83).

She was educated in the Worcester County public school system. She enjoyed working at the Campbell Soup Company and in local chicken factories, from where she retired.

Viola was a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church for over forty (40) years. There she was President of the Choir, a Trustee, Sunday school teacher, as well as serving on the Finance Committee and Kitchen Committee.

In her free time, Viola enjoyed spending time and sharing laugher with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, getting her hair done, shopping and most of all talking

about her Lord and Savor while loving, everyone in her life unconditionally. She was a true example of a "Woman of God."

Left behind to hold precious memories of Viola are: her husband, Robert Davis of Pocomoke, Maryland; step daughter, Tykechia Lahey (Mark); sisters, Georgianna Mills of Pocomoke, Maryland and Hazel Townsend of Parksley, Virginia; brothers, Reverend Elton Fletcher of Girdletree, Maryland and Elwood Deshields (Janice) of Philadelphia Pennsylvania; sisters-in-law, Laverne Haynes of Madison, Alabama and Jacqueline Davis of Monterey Park, California; brothers-in-law, Edward Marshall of Pocomoke, Maryland, Grayling Anderson of Princess Anne, Maryland and Dale Stratton of Parksley, Virginia; one aunt, Dorothy Rowley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and fond friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her brothers, Eugene Fletcher and Elwood Fletcher; sisters, Myrtle Brown, Pearlie Blake, Audrey Marshall, Linda Stratton, and Frances Anderson; brother-in-law, Vincent Davis and sister-in-law, Vernice Holden.
