Viola Virginia Harper

Viola Virginia Harper, 92, passed away at Saint Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 21, 2022. She was born April 15, 1929, in Wagoner, Oklahoma to David Emery Stephens, and Maude Elizabeth (Wilson) Stephens. On January 25, 1946, she married Raymond Lloyd Harper. Viola worked at Craig General Hospital and Eastern State Hospital for many years. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, caring for the yard, and cleaning everything from the house to the car. Viola enjoyed fishing and eating fish. Her favorite fish to eat was catfish. She enjoyed dancing, especially the jitterbug. After retirement she loved babysitting young children. Most of all she loved cooking and caring for her family. She loved each one of them and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Mrs. Harper in death are her parents, and ten siblings, also one granddaughter, Candace Jackson. Survivors include her children, Joyce Garber, of Langley, Oklahoma, Rick Harper, and wife Bobbie, of Hulbert, Oklahoma, Rita Harper of Springfield, Missouri, Larry Harper, and wife Francis, of Pryor, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Sands, Tiffany McClellan, Lacy Harper, Amber Jinks, Mandelyn Hurley, Van McClellan, Dustin Harper: nine great grandchildren; special friends, Donna Wofford, Kristi and Kyle Fritz and their children Kelby and Kaden; many other relatives and a host of friends.
A visitation for Mrs. Harper will be held from 5:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Luginbuel Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com or see our Facebook page.
