Viola Salter

Jerry Lynn O'Dell, son of the late Albert O'Dell, Jr., and Shelby Hayes O'Dell, was born February 10, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away Saturday, November 29, at the Regional One Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 70 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Taylor O'Dell, father, Albert O'Dell, Jr., brother, Timothy O'Dell, sister, Deborah O'Dell, paternal grandparents, Albert and Octavia O'Dell, maternal grandparents, Bill and Goldie Hayes.

He is survived by his mother, Shelby Hayes O'Dell of Paragould, Arkansas, sister, Diana O'Dell Long (Jeffery), of Paragould, Arkansas; son Scotty O'Dell of Farmington, Missouri; daughter Amy O'Dell of Senath, Missouri, grandson; Brandon Bishop, granddaughter, Jessica Bishop, great-grandchildren; Emett, Brooklyn, Georgia, and Natalie. Jerry is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Jerry was a retired construction contractor who loved to watch and root for the Dallas Cowboys. He loved the outdoors and gardening, and listening to classic rock and country music. He liked to play pool, card games, and laugh. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

His funeral will be Thursday, December 04, 12:00 noon at the McDaniel Chapel in Senath with Mr. Phillip Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Senath Cemetery.

The visitation will begin at 11:30 and continue until service time at 12:00.
