Violet Ann Kirkland Page, 59, of Southport, Florida, passed away on July 3rd, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born on November 1st, 1964, in Panama City, Florida, to Charles and Jean Kirkland, Violet was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, nana, sister, and friend.
She leaves behind the love of her life, Mark Page, with whom she shared 44 wonderful years together and married in November of 1982. Violet is preceded in death by her father, Charles Kirkland, maternal grandparents Richard and Annie Mae Sapp, paternal grandparents Charlie and Epsie Mae Kirkland, and her best friend Becca Page. She is survived by her devoted mother, Jean Kirkland-Wood, and cherished stepfather, William Wood.
Violet's legacy continues through her loving family: two children, Travis Page (Kristi) and Kelsi Burke (Sean); and her two grandsons, Tanner and Jase Page. She is also survived by her brother, Terry Kirkland (Tammy), and numerous other cherished family members.
Violet was a compassionate and devoted woman of Christ, whose passion for helping others, generous heart, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her radiant smile could brighten any room and remain etched in the hearts of those she touched. As a member of the Gideons Auxiliary, she was deeply involved in supporting her community and church. Violet excelled as a businesswoman, alongside her family, owning and operating several beloved restaurants including House of Seafood, Rodeo's Steakhouse, and Roughstocks Steak & Seafood. Renowned for her heavenly peanut butter pies, she brought joy to all who savored them. An enthusiastic outdoorswoman, Violet treasured moments with her son and husband, while she also delighted in quality time and shopping with her daughter. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever resonate with those who were fortunate to know her.
