Violet Ann Kirkland Page, 59, of Southport, Florida, passed away on July 3rd, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born on November 1st, 1964, in
Panama City, Florida, to Charles and Jean Kirkland, Violet was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, nana, sister, and friend.
She leaves behind the love of her life, Mark Page, with whom she shared 44 wonderful years together and married in November of 1982. Violet is preceded in death by her father, Charles Kirkland, maternal grandparents Richard and Annie Mae Sapp, paternal grandparents Charlie and Epsie Mae Kirkland, and her best friend Becca Page. She is survived by her devoted mother, Jean Kirkland-Wood, and cherished stepfather, William Wood.
Violet's legacy continues through her loving family: two children, Travis Page (Kristi) and Kelsi Burke (Sean); and her two grandsons, Tanner and Jase Page. She is also survived by her brother, Terry Kirkland (Tammy), and numerous other cherished family members.
Violet was a compassionate and devoted woman of Christ, whose passion for helping others, generous heart, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her radiant smile could brighten any room and remain etched in the hearts of those she touched. As a member of the Gideons Auxiliary, she was deeply involved in supporting her community and church. Violet excelled as a businesswoman, alongside her family, owning and operating several beloved restaurants including House of Seafood, Rodeo's Steakhouse, and Roughstocks Steak & Seafood. Renowned for her heavenly peanut butter pies, she brought joy to all who savored them. An enthusiastic outdoorswoman, Violet treasured moments with her son and husband, while she also delighted in quality time and shopping with her daughter. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever resonate with those who were fortunate to know her.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, July 8, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Home. Services to celebrate Violet's life will be held 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Calvary Panama City, with Pastor Kyle Shoots and Rev. Jerry Sapp officiating. A graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tanner Page, Jase Page, Bobby Buchanan, John Bylsma, Tim Eubanks, Tim Farris, Walt Hallman, Tim Melvin, and Robert Vinson. Honorary pallbearers include Allen Hood, Adam Joyner, Bobby Page, Christian Cook, Jackson Cook, Nick Watson, Bubba Biddinger, Billy Byrd, Danny Dunn, H.E. Ellis, Tim Harper, Van Hathaway, Jr. Phillips, Sam Phillips, Rodney Pitts, Ben Rise, Justin Swift, James Vinson, and Herman Zacherl.
A special thank you to our dear Betty Willingham for all the years of tender care and love. Your unwavering dedication and compassion have meant the world to us. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cynthia Barwick and Debbie Vinson. Your kindness and assistance were invaluable throughout this journey.
Violet's life was a testament to love, faith, and kindness, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
