Violet Sharkey of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.
Violet will be remembered for the quiet kindness that defined her life and the gentle warmth she shared so freely with others. She had a way of making people feel seen, comforted, and cared for—often through the simplest gestures that meant the most. Her presence brought a sense of calm and compassion to those fortunate enough to know her.
She shared a deeply cherished bond with her beloved friend, Oumou Traore. Their friendship was a source of strength, laughter, and unwavering support, reflecting the love and loyalty Violet gave so wholeheartedly throughout her life.
Though her time here has passed, the memory of Violet’s soft spirit and loving heart will continue to live on in those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
