Virgil Wayne Glueck, 80 of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at his home. He was born June 5, 1945 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Virgil William and Louise Fischer Glueck.
He married Brenda I Taylor on February 27, 1968 in Cape Girardeau and she preceded him in death on September 9, 2017.
He was a truck driver and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved gardening as well as spending time with his grandsons.
He is survived by two sons, Kerry (Kelly) Glueck and Ryan C. Glueck of Cape Girardeau; eight siblings, Jerry (Vernon) Uhrhan, Joan (Bob) Sample, Mary Ann (Late Junior) Stevens, Talmadge Glueck, Paul Glueck and Kathy (Robbie) Hadley all of Cape Girardeau, Phyllis (Gary) Spinks of Scott City and Gail (Dave) Roark of Thebes, Illinois; two grandchildren, Jordan (Courtney) Glueck and Dylan (Jordie Pruitt) Glueck of Cape Girardeau and a great grandson, Grayson Glueck.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother Zachary Glueck.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
