Virgil L. Jeffries, age 50, of Eldon, passed away on July 17, 2024. Virgil was born May 3, 1974, in Columbia, Missouri, the son of Jerry and Mary Jeffries. He was united in holy matrimony to Tanita (Duhé) Jeffries on November 12, 1999.
Straight from high school in 1992, Virgil joined the Army. He received a medical discharge from the military after a knee injury.
Virgil, an avid outdoors man, enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and staying busy with home projects. One of Virgil's greatest joys was being a PawPaw to his little Chief Kolton, a nickname he gave him at birth. Virgil was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and he loved playing football with Kolton and teaching him about the Chiefs and being a hardworking man.
Survivors include his wife Tanita, his three children Jewels, Chandler and Bree Jeffries; his only grandchild Kolton Jeffries; his mother Mary Jeffries; and his siblings Tina Chandler, Tracy Jeffries (Tara) and James Jeffries (April).
He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Jeffries; his brother-in-law Terry Chandler and a sister-in-law Jessica Duhé.
We lost our father, husband, PawPaw, brother, son and family friend.
