Virgil Dale Kirtright

Virgil Dale Kirtright, 82, of Loveland, passed away on February 12, 2009, at McKee Medical Center. Virgil was born on August 12, 1926, in Loveland to Elsworth and Lora (McDonald) Kirtright. He lived in Loveland most of his life and graduated from Loveland High School in 1944. Virgil married Darlene Ketels on July 5, 1949. Virgil served in the Navy as a Seabee in Okinawa. He also worked as a welder in Bremerton, WA from 1951 to 1959 at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and then worked as a welder/mechanic at the Great Western Sugar Company in Loveland until he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Kirtright. Virgil is survived by his wife, Darlene of Loveland; sons Randy Kirtright and Steve Kirtright, both of Loveland; and daughter Linda Bates (Kevin) O'Brien of Loveland. Virgil's grandchildren are Missy (Steve) Matthews of Parker, Kari Boxleitner of Berthoud, and Sean O'Brien of Loveland. His great-grandchildren are Taryn Boxleitner, Tyler Boxleitner, Allison Matthews, Kyle Matthews and Rachel Matthews.
