BOWLING GREEN -- Virginia Marie Christoff passed away at the age of Ninety years old on Wednesday, September 18th. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren as she took her last breath.
Ginny, as she was known by many was born on January sixth, Nineteen-thirty-four in Ottawa, Ohio to her loving parents, Hazel and Edwin Beach. When Ginny was three years old, she and her parents moved to the family Beach farm in Arlington, Ohio where she lived a wonderful, vigorous farm life tending to chickens, lambs, cows and pigs with her parents and Brother Jerry.
In Nineteen-Forty-Eight at the age of Fourteen, Ginny met her Tom. They began dating shortly after. Upon graduation on May 27th, Nineteen-Fifty-Two, they married and within the year, their first child Shelly was born. As the ensuing years went by, Ginny and Tom had seven children including: Shelly, Beth, Melissa, Jeff, Emily, Steve and Tony. Ginny and Tom eventually moved to Bowling Green, Ohio where they built their businesses and home together, raising all seven children to adulthood.
Ginny's wisdom could be found within her compassion and joy as she was always able to find the goodness in people. She had an innate ability to enjoy her life even in the face of adversity as she had lost four of her seven children through the years: Beth, Melissa, Jeff and Tony. She was always there for her children and grandchildren whether they needed a place to stay, a meal, a smile, a joke, a shoe tied, a trombone bought, college tuition paid, a night-time tuck-in, a hug, a bowl of ice cream, a ride, a madrigal booster, a song sung and babysitting.
Contributions in Ginny's honor may be gifted to Bridge Hospice.
