Virginia M. Colabella, beloved wife of the late Anthony C. Colabella, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. She was born in the Bronx, NY, on November 2, 1937, to her late parents, Marion and Dan.

Virginia-known to many simply as Ginny-lived a life filled with faith, joy, and devotion to the people she loved. Her smile was infectious, her laugh was contagious, and her warm, gentle spirit could brighten any room. She was deeply patriotic and proudly celebrated her love of the United States, always cherishing the American flag and the values it represents.

A gifted and dedicated educator, Ginny spent 10 years at St. Thomas the Apostle School and an extraordinary 34 years at All Saints Catholic School, where she touched the lives of countless students with her patience, kindness, and unwavering belief in every child's potential. Beyond the classroom, she shared her voice and her faith as a longtime member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Church choir, where her singing was as heartfelt as her devotion. She also lent her beautiful voice to the Norwalk Community Chorale and the Serendipity Choir, bringing joy to all who heard her with her warm, angelic tone.

Ginny also enjoyed life's simple pleasures-driving to visit friends, going on small excursions, and sharing meals at her favorite local spots such as Duchess or Arby's. She found joy in companionship, conversation, and creating memories with those around her.

Ginny is survived by her two children: her son Michael Colabella and his devoted partner Barbara Wells; and her daughter Tracy Fascio and her husband Tom. She was the proud grandmother of four cherished grandchildren: Chelsea and Spencer Fascio, and Jack and Quinn Colabella. She also leaves behind her two loving sisters: Patricia Hunt and her husband Christopher, and Julie Arnold and her husband Don, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, from 4–7 PM at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 25, at 12:00 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, with entombment to follow at St. John's Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.

The family welcomes flowers or, for those who prefer, memorial contributions to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Norwalk, CT, or All Saints Catholic School, Norwalk, CT, in recognition of Ginny's lifelong devotion to her faith and education.

Mrs. Colabella was my 5th grade teacher. I got straight As with her, I will always remember how supportive she was of my education, and how caring she was with me. Condolences to her family, she was a wonderful woman. Out of all of my ASCS teachers, she´s the one that made the biggest difference.
