It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael C. Colabella, Jr. on March 13, 2025. He passed peacefully at home.
He was born on March 18, 1952 and lived almost his whole life in Stamford, CT. He was the son of Michael C. Colabella, Sr. and Lillian Santarsiero Colabella.
Michael worked for the US Postal Service for 37 years and owned Mike's Lawn Service. Music, books, the Yankees, NY Rangers, and most of all his family, were his passions. He enjoyed playing softball with his sons and watching sports with Joe. He was so proud of his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family for Sunday dinners.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Theresa of 49 years, his loving children, Michael (Jennifer), Jennifer (Robert), Joseph (Angela) and Rosemary (TJ) and his cherished grandchildren, Valerie, Gianna, Cameron, Viviane, Michael and John. He is also survived by his loving sister, Linda Elwood, his brother, Alan Colabella, his nephews, Jon, Jeff, and Alan and his niece, Melissa.
We especially want to thank the ongoing support of Dr. Michael Fusco through Michael's long illness and the devoted care of his respiratory therapist, Mabel Scott.
Calling hours will be held from 9am – 10:30am at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford, CT on Wednesday, March 19th. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 24 Rock Rimmon Road, Stamford, CT.
