Virginia Curry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wimberly Funeral Home on Dec. 23, 2025.
Mrs. Virginia Curry peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on December 21, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Gainesville, Georgia.

Virginia received her education at Commerce High School and later dedicated many years of service to Peachtree Doors, where she eventually retired. She was married to Arthur Burris for over 20 years, sharing a life filled with love and commitment.

Virginia was known for her warm spirit and radiant smile, always able to bring joy to those around her. She was a mother figure to everyone she encountered, offering kindness, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her presence left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Kyle Hancock and Cobby Hancock; one sister, Nancy Miller-Hancock(Chicago, IL ); four brothers, John Ralph Hancock, Ricky Hancock, Bill Hancock, and Terry Hancock(Athens, Ga); and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Virginia Curry will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
