Virginia R. Dempkey, age 88 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday evening, March 1, 2025 at the Newaygo County Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was born on June 18, 1936 in Newaygo County, Michigan to Ernest & Florence (Osbun) Wamser. Virginia had been a nurse's aide at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility in Muskegon, and she was a member of Fremont Christian Church. She also enjoyed her flower garden, and painting pictures. Virginia is survived by 2 sons, Donald (Shelly) Dempkey & Kerry Dempkey; 9 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by 8 children: Gary Lee, Kelven, Lucy, Robert, Steven, Cherlyn, Kevin, & Gerald; brother, Clifford Wamser; & sister, Lillian Forton. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or service. Suggested Memorial: American Cancer Society.
