Virginia Dickinson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by George S. Hassler Funeral Home - Jackson Township on Oct. 29, 2025.
VIRGINIA LYNN DICKINSON, 79, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. She was born in Hackensack, NJ, and spent her childhood and young adult life in Little Ferry, NJ. After marrying in 1973, she then resided in Mount Arlington, NJ, moving to Jackson, NJ in 1976.
Virginia (known to most as "Ginny"), was a proud homemaker. She also assisted in running the family charter fishing business, volunteering at Church of the Master Methodist Church in Howell, NJ as a Sunday school teacher, playing the organ, painting murals for the preschool, and editing the church newsletter. She was an extremely creative and talented person, volunteering at her children's schools where she was well-loved by teachers, students, and fellow parents.
A talented seamstress, Ginny designed and sewed clothing, home decor, and costumes for many people through the years. She also made unique crafts, and personalized gifts. She adored all animals, music, and singing as well. Ginny loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother more than anything, and prided herself on taking care of, and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie Latusa; sister, Georgia Rauch; and most recently, her husband Noel Dickinson in 2020. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Danielle Lynn Corso of Garwood, NJ and Krista Lynn Dickinson of Point Pleasant, NJ; and by her grandchildren, Kory Berger, Vincent Corso Jr., and Elena Corso. Surviving also are her many beloved friends, neighbors, nieces, and cousins.
Ginny suffered over half her life with a chronic illness. Trigeminal Neuralgia, a severe and rare facial nerve disease at times caused her a great deal of debilitating pain. She still managed to live life to the best of her ability, even after her husband Noel's devastating death. She loved deeply, and was loved in return by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial visitation from 4-7 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary or food donation to your local food pantry in her memory.
