She was born Virginia Maxine Garriot to Hugh and Goldie May Garriot, Feb 2, 1930, in
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The family moved to the Los Angeles area in 1935 and eventually moved to Ceres in 1940 and attended school at Ceres Schools. Virginia loved to work and at a young age she started working in the food processing industry until the labor department was established and told her she had to leave and come back when she was old enough to apply for a work permit.
She met her husband George and married March 12, 1955 and had 65 wonderful years as George's wife and best friend.
She didn't have children of her own but she raised her little brother Larry till he passed in 2007.
Virginia was very proud of her love of God and lived her life accordingly. She read her bible daily and prayed for all that she knew and those that she thought needed the love god.
She attended services at NVCC in Ceres. There she made friends that saw the faith and inspiring dedication to the Lord.
She was a kind soul and loved all animals. She would leave food for the birds and squirrels that would visit her backyard. She always had a constant companion with a dog. Her current dog, Cammie was with her to the end.
Virginia always had a garden and shared her harvest with family, friends and neighbors. Her tomatoes were delicious and grown with love.
Virginia was always a polite and friendly lady and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Easley; and her brothers, Junior Garriott (Ceres), Clarence Garriott (Buena Park), and Larry Garriott (Ceres).
There is a Visitation scheduled at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home (McHenry Chapel) on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10 am and a Funeral Service beginning at 11 am. There will also be a Graveside Service to follow at Ceres Memorial Park.
