Howard James Tigert passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2026, at the age of 47.
Howard was born on April 18, 1978, in
Modesto, California, where he spent his entire life. Deeply connected to his hometown, Howard built a life centered around family, hard work, and the community he knew and loved.
Howard dedicated 28 years to the HVAC industry, where he worked his way up to become a supervisor. He was extremely knowledgeable in his trade and took great pride in the work he did. Known for his strong work ethic and leadership, Howard earned the respect of those who worked alongside him. He was a natural leader who guided his team with patience and skill, always willing to share what he knew and help others grow in the profession.
Outside of work, Howard enjoyed many hobbies and interests that brought him happiness and relaxation. He was an avid sports fan and rarely missed the chance to watch his favorite teams, the Raiders, Sooners and the A's. He also had a strong love for NASCAR and enjoyed watching races and following the sport. Whether it was football, baseball, or a NASCAR race on the weekend, Howard loved the excitement of sports and sharing that passion with family and friends.
Howard also had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his dirt bike and going camping and fishing, making many memories on trips spent outside enjoying nature. Some of his happiest moments were the simple ones-being outdoors, spending time with family, and enjoying life's adventures.
More than anything, Howard loved his family. He was a proud and devoted father who cherished watching his children grow and loved attending their sporting events and cheering them on. Being present for his kids and supporting them meant the world to him.
Howard shared a loving marriage with his wife, Katie, for 12 years. He cared deeply for her and always tried to make her happy. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and the everyday moments that meant so much to them both.
Howard will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his loyalty to those he loved, and the pride he took in his family and career.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Katie Tigert; his children, Emma, Carter, and Claire; his mother, Pamela Tigert; and his sisters, Trina Raley (John) and Jennifer Bernaciak (David).
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Franklin Tigert.
