Virginia Feddes Obituary

Virginia Feddes, 78, of Ruby, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born on March 24, 1947 in Kingston, NY and was the daughter of the late Cleon and Virginia Robinson.
Virginia was a registered nurse, she received her licensed practical nursing degree from Ulster BOCES and then earned her registered nursing degree from Ulster County Community College. She worked at Kingston Hospital as a staff supervisor until 1991. Concurrently, starting in 1985 she had been the Supervisor of Nursing Services at Ulster Green ARC till her retirement. She was a member of the NYS DMRDD Nurse's Association.
She was an avid softball player, playing in the Kingston A Division for many years as the catcher for the Pretty Pet Parlor team. She was also an avid volleyball player in the Kingston Recreational league.
She was married to the late Gary R. Feddes, Gary passed away in 2020.
Virginia is survived by her children, Jay (Chelsey) Hornbeck, Jr. of Delaware, Gina Hornbeck of Port Ewen, Jon (Denise) Hornbeck of Lake Katrine, and Gail Hornbeck of Florida. Her siblings, Cleon (Laura) Robinson II of Ulster, Richard Robinson of Texas, Frederick (Patty) Robinson of Esopus, and John (Kathy) Robinson of Port Ewen. Her grandchildren, Brett (Allison) Rosengrant, Brandan Rosengrant, Dominique (Nicole) Stokes, Tahj Buford, Mia Buford, Julianna Hornbeck, Gabrielle Hornbeck, Joshua Hornbeck and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her siblings, Kathleen Robinson Harper and Robert Robinson.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm followed by the funeral service at 4pm. For those who wish, contributions in Virginia’s memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. A tribute for Virginia may be found at www.KeyserFuneralService.com, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family.
