Virginia Elizabeth Robey, affectionately known as "Ginny," passed away on September 20, 2025, in Cleveland, Texas. She was born on October 21, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, and her life was a beautiful journey shaped by love, joy, and the cherished moments she shared with her family and friends.
Ginny was a beacon of warmth and kindness, known for her unwavering devotion to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, James Robey and his wife Carrie Perkins, and Jill Dodson along with her husband James. A proud grandmother, she adored her grandchildren: Danielle Robey, Jeremy Dodson and his wife Andrea, Jessica Love and her husband Taylor, Joshua Dodson and his wife Katie, and Jonathan Dodson. Ginny's heart expanded even further with the arrival of great-grandchildren Kaydance Dodson, Max Dodson, and Alan Dodson, who brought her endless joy and laughter. She is also survived by her dear brother, Dennis Lapinskas, and his wife Debbie, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts, as well as many treasured friends.
Ginny's spirit was vibrant and adventurous. An avid Geocacher, she embraced the thrill of the hunt under her playful username, "Granny of 5." Her love for exploration was mirrored in her fondness for the enchanting Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas, a place where she found beauty and serenity. She had a passionate heart for music, being the #1 fan of the Sawyer Brown Band, and her enthusiasm resonated deeply with those around her.
Though Ginny's parents, Walter George Lapinskas and Katherine Lapinskas, and her beloved sisters, Janice McLaughlin and Kathleen Cooper, preceded her in death, their legacies of love and guidance will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Ginny's visitation will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home 200 S Washington Ave Cleveland, Texas, starting at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Pace - Stancil Memorial Rest Garden, starting at 1:00 PM.
