Virginia L. Hill, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in London, Ohio. She was born on August 26, 1933, in Danville, Illinois, to the late John and Wahnetta (Ott) Thompson. Ginny, as she was affectionately known, was a proud graduate of London High School's Class of 1951, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her warmth and kindness.
With a spirit full of adventure, Ginny had a passion for traveling, often hopping in her car to seek out the next bingo game or yard sale treasure. She loved camping and fishing, forming cherished memories with her family and friends. One particularly memorable yard sale adventure even led to the purchase of a horse, showcasing her fun-loving personality and zest for life.
Her heart was always open, and she found joy in baking delicious pies for her son’s Boy Scout troop. Ginny treasured her family, and her legacy lives on through her sons Kenneth Hill (Jennifer Mayer) and Kerry (Susan) Hill and her many grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Shirley Chiodo and Sheila Thompson.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her son Tab Hill, and her beloved siblings, Sonja Ferguson and Jack Thompson. In a final act of giving, Virginia honorably donated her body to science at Ohio State University, a testament to her generous spirit.
