Virginia (Ginger) Majure Keen passed away August 2, 2025, in the comfort of her own home, having been surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born in 1952 in Panama City, FL, Ginger was a graduate of B.C. Rain High School, and the University of Mobile (then Mobile College) both in Mobile, AL. She spent her career as a social worker for the State of Alabama.
Her life was a tapestry of love based on her faith in God, caring for, ministering to, and giving always to those around her. As pianist for her beloved church family at Tree of Life Christian Church, she applied her beautiful gifts of song, music, and love of the Word to serving others. Ginger touched a myriad of souls in her lifetime and will be missed by all.
Ginger was preceded in death by her husband David Keen, her parents Dorn and Deede Majure, her brother Rodney Majure, and her great-nephew James (Jay) Jepko.
She is survived by her siblings Dr. Dorn Majure, Ed Majure (Cathy), and Nancy Majure (Shelley); sister-in-law Mary Claire Majure; cherished friend and caregiver, Gale McAlily; nieces and nephews Stephanie Jepko (James), Trey Majure (Katie), Truett Majure, Maggie Majure, Lauren Reynolds (Kyle), and Lindsay Beasley (Nathan); great-nieces and nephews Matthew, Ethan, and Roman Jepko; Levi, Kinsey, and Benji Majure; Catherine, Jacob, and Eloise Reynolds; Matthew Beasley, Noah Shirley, Simon and Charlotte-Anne Beasley; numerous much-loved extended family members and countless treasured friends.
Funeral services for Ginger will take place at 10 A.M. on August 9th, 2025, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. on August 9th, 2025, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ginger's memory to the Tree of Life Christian Church, 4548 Halls Mill Rd, Mobile, AL 36693.
