Virginia Marie Lairson

Virginia Marie Lairson (Hunt) was born July 27, 1937 in Covington, KY to John and Mary Elizabeth Hunt (Licke). She peacefully stepped into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Virginia worked various jobs, but most of her work was put into raising her 11 children. She enjoyed visiting with her siblings, playing card games, doing cross stitch and embroidering. However, her number one passion in life was serving the Lord. She made sure that all of her children were raised in the church. When asked, Virginia said the first thing she wanted to do in Heaven was give Jesus a big hug. Trusting and serving God was her life.
Left to cherish the memory of Virginia are her 6 daughters, Debbie Hostetler of Goshen, IN., Lois Haddad of St. Mary, GA., Connie Lairson of Osceola, IN., Elizabeth Murrell (Stanley) of Maryville, TN., Lisa Gavazzoni (John) of Niles, MI., Amy Martinez (Roberto) of South Bend, IN; two sons, Kenny Lairson (Kate) of Berne, In., and Mike Lairson; daughter-in-law, Colleen Lairson; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Tommy Hunt of Kentucky.
Along with her parents, Virginia was proceeded in death by two brothers, four sisters, 2 sons, Larry Lairson and Joseph Lairson, one daughter, Regina Bonds and a set of infant twins.
Virginia was a loving mother and great friend to many. Her life was a testament to the power of faith and devotion; first to the Lord and then to her family. She was a beacon of joy, radiating the kindness from her soul and the selfless love she extended to those around her. She will be dearly missed by all.
Visitation for Virginia will be 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025, with a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00 pm and then additional visitation from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm all in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend, In.
