Virginia McClellan Obituary

Virginia "Ginny" L. McClellan, 91, residing in Castalia, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Virginia was born on October 15, 1930 in Lee County, VA one of six children to the late Millard E. and Julia (Carico) Moretz.
Virginia retired from New Departure in Sandusky. Following retirement, she moved to Virginia and then moved back to Castalia 9 years ago. She was a member of First Christian Church. Always being concerned for her family, she was a prayer warrior for them.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Ned) Garbe of Sandusky; grandchildren, Todd (Kelly) Garbe of Huron and Brian (Heather) Garbe of Castalia; 4 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kyla, Ali and Landon and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Carl "Cec" McClellan in July 2021.
Friends may call on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am First Christian Church, 3410 Hayes Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Don Spurlock will officiate. Entombment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
