Virginia McClellan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peavy Funeral Home from Jun. 7 to Jun. 8, 2025.
Virginia McClellan, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025. Born on September 18, 1934, in Panama City to Garland and Adelaide Nixon, Virginia's life was a tapestry of love, hard work, and devotion to her family and passions.

Virginia was a cherished individual with a love for planting and nurturing plants. Her gardens were a testament to her dedication and care, overflowing with life and beauty. She also found joy in puzzles, solving them with patience and persistence, much like her approach to life itself. Known for being one of the hardest workers, Virginia exemplified resilience and determination in all she did. Her warmth and creativity shone through her cooking and baking, as she lovingly prepared meals that brought family and friends together. This passion eventually blossomed into a business of its own when she opened and ran her own bakery.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brinton McClellan; her sons, Lorin and Phillip McClellan; her parents, Garland and Adelaide Nixon; and her brother, Harvey Nixon. Though she leaves behind an irreplaceable void, her memory remains a source of comfort and inspiration to those she touched.

Virginia leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her sons, Roger D. McClellan and Brinton T. McClellan, as well as 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Her kind spirit, steady presence, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM CT, followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM CT. Interment will follow at McClellan Cemetery in Frink. Peavy Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
