Virginia Renn Obituary

Virginia Ann (Rouck) Renn, 90, a loving mother and grandmother, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. She retired from New Albany-Floyd County School Corporation and was a longtime and active member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Hill). Virginia was a great cook and looked forward to hosting Sunday dinner for her family. 

She was born on December 26, 1933 to Carl and Olivia (Rochner) Rouck. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Renn; son-in-law, Chuck Craft; and siblings, Edna Crawford Geswein and James Rochner.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Karen Craft (James Boneck), Betty Crawford (David); grandchildren, Brian Craft (Brian), Kayla Sheckell (Brian), Amber Meenach (Brady), Abby, Madeline (fiancé, Justin Lanham), Patrick and Gretchen Crawford; great-grandchildren, Anna, Aly, and Aubree Sheckell, Raylan Meenach; and sister, Joyce Mehling. 

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Hill Chapel, 2605 St. Joe Road West, Sellersburg) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society
