Virginia (Ginny) May Richardson, November 28, 1931-November 22, 1924, Born in Lynn MA to John "Boyd" and Marguerite Byers. Virginia was born and raised in the Acton/Boxboro area making many long life friends. She graduated from Acton/Boxboro Regional High. She continued her schooling at Bryant & Stratton College in Boston, MA. She married Clyde Richardson in 1951 and together they had six children. Wayne, Kenneth (deceased), David (deceased), Sheryl, Donna, Judy. She is survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grand children.
In the early 70s Clyde and Ginny opened the first Convenience store and gas station in Boxboro. One could always find Clyde or Ginny at the store at any time except Tuesday. Tuesday was reserved for relaxation, often fishing where Ginny shined. Ginny took the job of Town Clerk shortly after opening the store and held that position until she retired in 2006. Ginny went out of her way to help the Boxboro Community get their marriage, fishing, hunting and dog licenses, often after hours or in her home. There were many times she was woken in the middle of the night to make a birth certificate for a teen on their way to Boston to get their drivers license. Ginny was always there to make lives easier. She loved her town and the people in it. The town awarded her the prestigious Fifers award for her contribution to the town.
Ginny was a talented seamstress, cook, canner and baker. She won many blue ribbons for her apple pie at the Grange Fair. Ginny loved show tunes. She would go about her many daily tasks singing away. She had a lovely voice. Those tunes were the last thing Ginny remembered. Even as family and friends faded from her memory she would sing or hum the tunes.
