Virginia Joye Vines Rosson, a beloved matriarch, departed this world on October 14, 2025, at the NHC - Franklin in Franklin, Tennessee. Born on January 14, 1933, Joye was a beacon of love and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
From her very first days, Joye's life was characterized by a deep sense of family and community. Her loving nature and nurturing spirit created an environment of safety and warmth within her home. Family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Joye's dedication to her faith was evident in her regular attendance at the First Baptist Church of Jackson. This community served not only as a place of worship but also as a second home where she strengthened her bonds with friends and fellow parishioners. Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her family; she had a unique ability to make everyone feel loved and valued, embodying the spirit of her faith in all her interactions.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Dianne Rosson Browner; grandchildren, Leslie Browner, Lynsie Hughes, Dawn Browner, Amy Monterroso, and John Browner; great-grandchildren, Nora Enlow, Hazel Hughes, George Fincher, Ashley Towery, Hannah Suffridge, Sophie Suffridge, and Nicholas Monterroso; nieces and nephews, Barbara Pickler Hopkins (Don), Jeff Pickler (Patti); and grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Craig Hopkins, Melissa Hopkins, Emilee Reid, and Betsy Riley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Rosson; son, Bill Rosson; parents, Fred and Agnes Vines; and siblings, Betty Pickler and Fred Vines, Jr.
A visitation will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors on Friday, October 17, 2025. Following visitation, a graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Joye Vines Rosson will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to experience her love and grace. Her spirit will continue to guide us, reminding us always to cherish each other and hold our loved ones close.
