Virginia "Edna" Love Sands, was born on December 4, 1947 in Ben Wheeler, TX, of Van Zandt County, to the late Gertrude Washington Love. In the early 70's she met and married the love of her life John and to their union they had one son Corey.
She attended Emmett Scott High School in Tyler, TX, after graduation. She continued her educational goals at Bishop College in Dallas Tx where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree. She completed her goals at East Texas State University at Commerce, TX with two degrees: a Master of Science and a Master of Education with an emphasis on Social Services and Psychology.
She was a benevolent and compassionate employee of Dallas ISD for over 30 years. Throughout her service she touched and influenced many lives. Among her past time, she enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, a family friend who was always willing to help her, and 3 wonderful longtime college friends who were like sisters.
