Virginia was born in Brooklyn, NY, the only child of Louis and Antoinette DeCastro. She was married to the love of her life, Eugene, for 64 years, until his passing in 2020.Together they had five children: Linda (Bill) Place, Sue (Ed) Austin, Eugene, Donald (Kathy), and Denise (Michael) Zervoudis and ten grandchildren: Brian, Brandon, Cecile (Joe), William (Taylor), Gabrielle (Kyle), Dylan (Tatum), Matthew, Kristina, Anthony and Nicholas.

Family and friendship were very important to Virginia. She enjoyed entertaining and celebrating the holidays and special events in her home. During these events one could witness Virginia's generosity, kindness and commitment to her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed.
