At a young age, Virginia's family moved to the Pulaski area. She was a graduate of Pulaski High School. Virginia worked for several years at Carver Boat in Pulaski, the Post Office in Green Bay, and most recently at Witt's Piggly Wiggly in Oconto Falls until her retirement. She enjoyed flowers, cooking and an occasional trip to the casino and was an avid Packers and Brewers fan.
Survivors include her five children: Annette (Jeff) Knope, Allan "Butch" Schubert (Lynn), Brian "Beav" (Tami) Schubert, Ron (Colleen) Schubert, and Kenneth Schubert; nine grandchildren: Amanda (Brent) Thompson, Nicole (Chad) Engel, Kimberly Winkler (Jason), Wes (Dana) Schubert, Jenny (Jeremy) Peterson, Chantel (Anthony) Deneys, Myrisa (Tony) Reiter, Tyler Schubert (Christina), and Baley (Andrew) Makita; 20 great-grandchildren; three siblings; Carol Kleist, Steve (Debbie) Golik, and Diane Pluger, and several nieces, nephews, and other family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Joanie (James) Pockat, Mary Dineen, and Kathy (Doug) Novak; and the father of her children, Raymond Schubert.
Family and friends are invited to gather at St. Casimir Church, 146 Park St., Krakow, on Saturday, November 15, from 9-11 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at a later time in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Oconto Falls Police Department and the first responders.
