Virginia Hubbard Smith, 87, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away on April 14, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Jack Smith.
Virginia was a dedicated office manager, retiring from Winn Parish Assessor's Office and City of Winnfield Utilities Office. She found joy in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career.
Her family was Virginia's greatest happiness in life. She cherished moments spent with her loved ones, especially when they gathered at her house, embracing each other's love and friendship.
Virginia will be deeply missed by her children: Deborah Henry (Gary), Robert Smith (Scott), and Brenda Usrey (Mickey). Grandchildren: Nicole Foshee, Calli Lorant (Colby), Kristan Guilliams (Chance), and Matthew Henry (Jamie), as well as her great-grandchildren: Jacksen and Trafford Foshee, Caroline and Cooper Guilliams and Charlie and Collins Lorant. Virginia is also survived by her brother, Percy Hubbard, sisters-in-law Vicki Hubbard and Nell Fisher, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Etta Hubbard, and her brothers Eugene, Bubba, and Tommy Hubbard.
Virginia was a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church and enjoyed being part of the Abiding Love Sunday School Class. She found fulfillment in her involvement with the Winn Homemakers Club and Kisatchie Quilt Guild.
Visitation hours for Virginia will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Southern Funeral Home, 202 East Lafayette Street, Winnfield, LA. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. at Southern Funeral Home with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.
Serving the family as pall bearers: Brent Hubbard, Lowell Hubbard, Gary Hubbard, Chance Guilliams, Colby Lorant, Matthew Henry and Lloyd Smith (honorary).
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The Glen Retirement System and LifePath Hospice of Shreveport for taking such great care of Virginia over the past few years.
