HERKIMER – Virginia E. Stocking, age 90, formerly of Richfield Springs, passed away on Friday morning, February 2, 2024, at Valley Health Services in Herkimer.
She was born on July 22, 1933 in Willsboro, NY, a daughter to the late Oakley Tero and Mildred Cross. She was raised and educated in Willsboro. On December 25, 1951 she married David E. She could light up a room with her smile and beautiful blue eyes.
Surviving her are her two daughters; Terri Morton and her husband Mike of Burlington Flats and Cheryl Coones and her husband Harry of Schuyler Lake, seven grandchildren: Sonya Buck, Heather Thomas, Tamara Hynes, Trista Bartl, Jolene Stocking, Peyton Coones, and Nicole Coones-Oden, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Stocking, two grandsons, David A. Stocking Jr. and Michael A. Morton, a brother Norman Tero, and two sisters; Mary Forbes and Ruth St. Peter.
