Doloris, 93, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on October 9, 2025 in Blue Ridge, GA.
Doloris was born in Breeding, KY to the late Ivan and Chalma (York) McKinney. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Glen Tommie, brother Richard Guzman, sisters Frieda Griffin, Nancy Clay and Dorothy Frye.
She is survived by sons Doug Tommie, Sam Tommie (Darlene), and daughter Martha Schickinger (John). Her grandchildren Jessie Tommie, Jennifer Austin (Jeremy) and Neal Schickinger (Savannah) and her great-grand children Mina Austin, Seth Austin, Owen Schickinger and Nate Schickinger. She is also survived by her brother Gerald McKinney (Olive) and sister Frances McKinney.
Doloris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had an amazing wit and a quick laugh. She was an excellent homemaker, cook and seamstress. Deloris loved the Lord and was member of Valley Station Baptist Church and New Salem Baptist Church both in Louisville, KY.
Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home, Blue Ridge, GA, has been entrusted for the final arrangements. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
