Virginia Trout Obituary

Virginia Hotchkiss Trout

Greece - Virginia Hotchkiss Trout passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 101. She was a New Year's baby born on January 1, 1920. She was predeceased by her parents (Elizabeth and Harrison Hotchkiss), her sister and brother-in-law (Pauline and Ted Crane), her brother and sister-in-law (Harry and Madeline Hotchkiss), and her beloved husband (Perry). Perry was the love of her life and she missed him dearly since his passing 7 years ago.

Virginia graduated from West Irondequoit High School. She enjoyed a long and very successful career at the Eastman Kodak Company.

Virginia and her husband were worldwide travelers and avid readers. They enjoyed visiting museums and libraries, and attending lectures, concerts, and Broadway plays. Their generosity, in donating to organizations that were dear to them, was commendable. Virginia's memory and knowledge of history and current events was amazing right up until she passed. She loved to talk about her family history, her career, her travels, and world events. She was very caring, always interested in the activities, health, and happiness of her family and friends.

Virginia is survived by her nieces and nephews - Forrest Crane (Rose), Beverly Vickerman (Jack), Darrell Hotchkiss (Jon Fox), Kevin Hotchkiss (Payton), Barbara Schumacher (Richard), Nancy Capurso (Joseph), Christine Daniels (Scott), and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Virginia also leaves behind many beloved members of the Trout family.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Maplewood Nursing Home for their exemplary love and care for Virginia.

A private memorial gathering will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity in honor of Virginia. To share a memory of Virginia or to send a condolence to the family, please visit www.anthonychapels.com
