Virginia Kathy Williamson

Virginia Kathy Williamson, age 81 of Addison, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

She was born August 19, 1944 to Espy and Nettie Privett. Kathy grew up in Addison, where she was a member of Mt. Pleasant for many years. She enjoyed going to visit people and was a very outgoing lady. Kathy was a faithful wife for over 57 years to the late Johnny Mack Williamson, and was a lifelong nurse.

Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in the Nesmith Community, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Brother John Echols will officiate.

Kathy is survived by her sons, Chad (Clancy) Wiliamson and Todd Williamson; grandchildren, Gracie Williamson, Benjamin Williamson, and Nathaniel Williamson; great grandson on the way, Jace Alan Williamson; brother, Teddy (Beverly) Privett; sister, Carol Echols; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Mack Williamson; parents, Espy and Nettie Privett; sister, Marcie Laseter and Willa Jo Carter; brother, Freddy Privett and Finis Privett.
