Vitangela Santucci

Vitangela Santucci, 87, of Ossining, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

She was born on September 6, 1938, in Sassinoro, Italy, to Francesco Conte and Teodora D'Uva. Vitangela lived a life devoted to her family, sharing her love through cooking, laughter, and the joy of togetherness. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed playing bingo, cards, crocheting, and gardening.

Vitangela was predeceased by her two brothers, Modestino and Valentino Conte, and her son-in-law, Darren Knapp. She is survived by her beloved husband, Modestino Santucci; her daughters, Antoniette "Toni" Knapp and Michelina "Mickey" Fritsche (Bobby); her grandchildren, Darren, Brandi (Matt), Angela, Rose, and Stephen; her great-grandchildren, Savanna, Darren III, and Sofia; and her brother, Emilio, and sister, Fernanda.

Vitangela will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the joy she brought to every gathering. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will endure through all who knew her.
