Vito Anglada Obituary

Vito Anglada

It is with deep sadness that we announce our huge loss, at the same time we celebrate Heaven's triumph. We will do our best to remember and honor the life of Vito Anglada, a devoted son, a beloved husband, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was also a cherished brother, a kind-hearted uncle, and loyal friend, touching the hearts of all who knew him. Vito was born in Cañon to Ramon and Elisaida Anglada. He was equally proud of his ancestry to Spain and the Ute tribe of Chief Ouray and Chipeta. Vito was a proud Army National Guard Veteran and a long-standing former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He lived his values through action and service. The great outdoors was Vito's sanctuary, where his passion for fishing, hunting, and woodcutting showcased his deep connection to the outdoors and his respect for God's Creation. His fishing skills were legendary. He was so good; he could catch fish in a puddle or a ditch. Vito was known for his respect and generosity, always giving of his time and talents to help others, in construction projects and car repairs. He always put others first. He instilled in others the importance of hard work, honesty, and respect. Vito now joins his beloved family members who have passed before him-his parents, his first wife Evelyn Anglada, his daughter Vicky Louise Anglada, and Great Grandson Leo Anglada; his siblings Ursula Lujan, Juanita Romero, Escolastica Gonzales, Eva Garcia, George Anglada, Tito Anglada, Manuel Anglada, Samuel Anglada, Fred Anglada, and Ramon Anglada. He is Survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria, daughter Brenda Velasquez (Bob), son Rick Anglada (Charlene), daughter Thelma Montez (Albert), and son Stephen Trujillo (Debbie); siblings Louie Anglada (Margie), Dora Vigil, and Teresa Gonzales, sisters-in-law, Angie Anglada, Carol Anglada , Celia Anglada, Dolores Anglada, Ella Anglada; Brother-in-law Fidel Garcia; grandchildren Nicole Smith (Darren) Rachel Stines (William), Daniel Anglada, Ricardo Anglada (Alisa), David Velasquez (Emily), Leo Velasquez, Ronald Montez Jr. (Maddie), Paul Anglada (Garrick), Jacob Montez (Faith), Stevie Trujillo (Maria), Sonya Cole (Joe), Michael Velasquez, Scott Trujillo, Tracy Trujillo, Leroy Trujillo, Jr. and Erika Trujillo. Great Grandchildren, Evelyn, Ryan, and Chris; Abram, Isaiah, Allyah and Iliza; Gabriel, Aiden, Mason, and Payton; Victoria, Stephanie, Olivia, Natalie and Eric; Aiyana, Nashota, and Draven; Alexis, Antonio, and Marcus; Aubrielle and Cheyenne; Santana and Mariana, and the youngest, Lev. Great Great Grandchildren Matthew and Richie; Yzai, Amari and Zyla, as well as countless nieces and nephews, and close friends. Vito was no-nonsense and zero excuses. He believed in working hard and living life to the fullest. He encouraged and expected that from everyone. Vito had a deep personal relationship with his "Tatita Dios" and brought his family up as believers. Though he struggled with great loss of loved ones and eventual sickness, he never feared the inevitable because of his strong faith. There is no doubt he knew where he was going to spend eternity. Rest in Paradise, our Dearest Vito Anglada. Our memories of you will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration, guiding us to carry forward your legacy of hard work, respect for others, selfless generosity, and faith in God. Funeral services will be held at a later date. The family of Vito Anglada has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. www.devargastaos.com 1-866-657-4019
