Vito Celano Obituary
Born on February 26, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, Vito lived a life defined by devotion to his family, service, and kindness. He was the beloved husband of Ann Celano, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.
Vito spent the majority of his career as an FDNY Lieutenant, where he was known for his tireless work ethic, leadership, and bravery.
He is survived by his wife Ann, his daughter Diane, his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Michelle. "Poppy" was also the grandfather to three grandchildren, Brianna, Corey, and Vito.
A service will be held on January 27th from 3pm-7pm at Bryant Funeral Home in Setauket, NY. A funeral mass will follow at 10:45am on January 28th at Saint James Roman Catholic Church in Setauket, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the FDNY Foundation at www.fdnyfoundation.org, in his memory.
