Vivian Young Durham

On June 16th, 2023, Vivian earthly journey ended, to receive her reward of being a great and faithful servant. Vivian Ruth (Young) Durham was born on July 13th, 1952 to Gracie (Emerson) Young and James Wilbert Young in Humboldt TN.
Vivian attended the Humboldt school system and graduated in 1970. Vivian professed a love for Christ at an early age and attended Sixth Street Pentecostal under the leadership of Bishop Claude Meadows SR. Later on in life she joined Victorious Believers Ministries in Saginaw Michigan, under the leadership of Rev. Chris Pryor and remained a faithful member until her health started to fail.
Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great grandmother and sister!
Vivian also enlisted in the United States Army, after leaving High School. She was also a proud recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. Vivian was employed by the State of Michigan for 27 years and before retiring.
Vivian moved to Saginaw, and thereafter met her husband of 43 years, Lorenso Elbert Durham.
Vivian enjoyed her retirement spending time with her family. She really enjoyed her visits to Tennessee. As Vivian health started to fail more, She moved to North Carolina accompanied by her husband, to be with her daughter Tiffany and grandchildren. Vivian had a fruitful life and she will be rewarded for her fruits of labor. She stayed the course and she ran her race!
Memories of Vivian will be cherished by her husband of 43 years, Lorenso Durham; three children, Shannon Pearson (Chicago, IL) Marques Pearson (Mayfield, KY) and Tiffany Norris (Huntersville, NC); three step-children, Sophia Olivarez and Shayna Henson of Saginaw, MI and Sven Henson of Houston, TX; 31 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; five sisters, Patricia Young (Sacramento, CA) Kathy Young, Lori Young, Colette Gooch and Wanda (James) Croom of Jackson, TN; four Brothers, Ronnie Young of Humboldt, TN, Terry (Janice) Young of Brownsville, TN, Kevin (Edna) Boxley of Smyrna, TN and Barnard (Myra) Young of Jackson, TN; 2 sisters-in-law, Lynette Durham of Saginaw, MI and Edith Young of Fort-Wayne, IND; three brothers-in-law, Walker (Hazel) Durham of Stone Mountain, GA, Louis Durham and Carry Durham of Saginaw, MI. Additional survivors includes a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Vivian also left to cherish her memory, 3 special daughters. Joann Coleman and Shawanda Terrell of Saginaw, MI and April Bland of Charlotte, NC.
Vivian was preceded in death by her mother, Gracie (Emerson) Young; father, James Wilbert Young; one sister, Regina Young ;three brothers, Gale Young, Wilford Young and Reginald Boxley; one granddaughter, Brooklyn Shaun-M'yanna Durham and one grandson, Kyle Brault.
