Vivian Christian Baker Nassif, 97 years old, passed peacefully in a hospital in Newport News, Virginia, with her daughters by her side, on September 2, 2025.

A resident of Poquoson, Virginia, she was born and raised in Drum Hill, Gates County, North Carolina to the late Bertie and Clyde Baker. She is also preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Timmie P. Nassif, Sr., as well as her siblings, Raymond Baker, Mabel King and Clyde Baker, Jr.

Vivian was a long standing member of Savages Methodist Church in Gates County, NC, as well as St. Matthews Catholic Church, Va Beach, Va.

Left to treasure her memory are her three children, her son, Timmie P Nassif, Jr, of Virginia Beach, Va, and two daughters, Patricia N Christopher of Poquoson, Va. and Dina N Swartz, with husband William Swartz, of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Vivian was a loved grandmother of 7, a great grandmother of 6 and a soon to be great great grandmother. She was loved and adored by many nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

Vivian was a long time employee of Leggetts Department Store in Norfolk, Va, a devoted Navy wife of many years and in her younger years, she was a farm worker on her parents farm. She graduated from Gates County High School in North Carolina.

She was so loved and cared for during her hospital stay by her nurses, Ashley, Tessa, Megan and so many more caring staff and doctors at Riverside Pavillion and Tower Hospital, Newport News, Va.

She will be honored at a Celebration of Life Ceremony on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 11am, at Hollomon Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel, Virginia Beach, Va, as well as a Family night on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 6pm in the same location.

Vivian was a loving and good person and she will be tremendously missed by many.
