Vivian Taylor

Vivian Fern Taylor, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, at the age of 87 went home to the Lord on July 12, 2024. Services will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in May, Texas under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early with a celebration of life to follow at Chris and Shirley's home.
Vivian was born April 18th, 1937 in Temple, Texas, as she liked to tell everyone, in a log cabin. She later attended Austin High School where she graduated and started her life as a homemaker. In 1981 she married David Clyde Taylor, and they enjoyed 43 years of marriage raising their 9 children. Vivian was a homemaker who always worked to make sure her children had what they needed, were well behaved, and loved the Lord. She had a love for the Bible that was unshakable and all encompassing. She enjoyed nothing more than spreading the love of God to every soul she met. It did not matter if it was Sunday at church or walking through the grocery store on a Tuesday, if the Holy Spirit told her to share a kind word and the love of Jesus with anyone, she was going to do it. Vivian also had a heart for children. She was always there to spend time, often crafting or baking, with her grandchildren, or even calming a crying baby during church service. Her gentle kindness and glow of the Holy Spirit about her seemed to draw the little ones to her. She was active in many churches in teaching Sunday School for the congregation's youngsters. She dedicated her life to family, her brothers and sisters in Christ, and service to the lord. Her last message to everyone would be, "Be happy because God loves you."
Vivian is survived by her husband David Clyde Taylor and their 8 children: Daughter Thelma Sorgman and husband Danny, son James Stark and partner Shawn, son Mark Stark and wife Lou Ann, daughter Sherry Gaines-Taylor and husband John, daughter Amy Maddox and husband Gary Maddox, son Chris Taylor and wife Shirley, son Johnny Taylor, and daughter Samantha Claytor and husband Skeeter. She will be missed by her 22 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great-grandchildren.
Vivian is going to be reunited in the kingdom of heaven with her parents, Perry and Hattie Gober, her 6 brothers, her little sister, and her son Raymond Lee Stark. May the love of the Lord keep them and bless them through all of eternity.
