Volodmir Stelmach, aged 74, passed away on May 30, 2024. He was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Volodimir was born on August 19, 1949 in Polanyi, Ukraine, where he spent his childhood years. In the summer of 1975, Voldoimir married his beloved wife, Lyubov. They went on to have 3 children, Valentin, Svetlana, and Yuri, before moving to the United States in the year of 1988. They settled down in Chicago, before having one more son, Eugene. Throughout his life, Volodimir was known for his hard work, faith, and passion for making old things new again.
But more than anything, Volodimir was a devoted Christian. He loved spending time reading God's word, and kneeling down in prayer. He enjoyed listening to sermons, and spent as much time as he could in God's presence. In turn, he would do his best to offer his knowledge, guidance, and support to those around him.
In his free time, Volodimir enjoyed participating in hands-on activities, such as gardening or building. He was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others, and he enjoyed remaining active with his work and hobbies throughout his years. He would spend much of his time outside in nature, and enjoyed tinkering with things around the home.
Preceding Volodimir Stelmach in passing were his parents, Trihon and Hannah, his brothers Vasik and Victor, as well as his wife, Lyubov, and his son, Yuri. Volodimir Stelmach is survived by his sisters Nadia Nesesyuk and Vera Novak, his twin brother Nikolay, three of his children, Valentin, Svetlana, and Eugene, and his grandchildren, Olenka, Sara, Sofia, Marianka, Olivia, and Vivienne. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
