Vy T. Dinh, 40, of East Hartford, beloved wife to David X. Dinh and beloved mother to Sarah M. Dinh, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 7, 1982, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, daughter to Thanh Huu Dang and Thi Quynh Le Nguyen.
Vy was raised and grew up in Vietnam before she relocated to the United States in 2003. She continued her education here in Connecticut earning an Associate of Science in Nursing from Capital Community College in Hartford. Shortly thereafter, she became a registered nurse and spent employment at both Mt. Sinai Hospital and Hartford Hospital. There, she met numerous individuals and was able to build very strong relationships in the friends she has today. In her spare time, Vy enjoyed spending time at the beach and looked forward to spending time with her family singing karaoke, dancing and shopping with her daughter and friends. Although her time with us was cut short, her smile, personality and demeanor will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, daughter and parents, Vy is survived by her brother, Bao Phuc Dang of Vietnam; her two cousins, Amy Nghe of Westminster, CA, and Khanh Van Huynh of Toronto, Canada; her brother-in-law Tango Dinh, his wife Linh, and their daughter, Michelle of East Hartford as well as numerous relatives and close friends.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 3-7 p.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6, beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

I first met Vy during my first clinical rotation on CB6. She was always so sweet and bubbly. She always made me feel welcomed as a nursing student. I´ve had the pleasure of working with her. When ever we were assigned the same patients, I knew it would be a great day. She will be deeply missed, rest in peace Vy.

My first year of nursing school, I had clinical at CB6, almost every week for the 8 weeks that I was there, Vy was my nurse, but honestly because such a role model to me and a friend. l´d request Vy over and over again, because she made me feel comfortable with her energetic and happy energy. She was never done and loved every second of being a nurse. Now entering my senior year of nursing school, Vy was a true role model to me and I´ll never forget it. Thank you Vy for gracing this earth with your kindness. Sleep in everlasting peace.

I was Vy´s Nurse Director in HH Rehab Unit. She was a kind, caring, expert nurse who always put her patients first. She supported her co- workers, always ready to lend a hand for others. Vy was a role model for us all as she fought hard against cancer, yet never complained while continuing to work. She will be dearly missed but always in our hearts. Rest in peace Vy.
