W. C. Lloyd, age 78, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Oschner Hospital in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS and Saturday, February 11, 2023, From 10:30 AM until 10:50 AM at Pleasant Gift M.B. Church in Morton, MS. Services will take place in the Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Pleasant Gift M.B. Cemetery in Morton, MS. Pastor Reginald McCoy will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Mr. Lloyd was born to Willie Clyde Lloyd and Lucille Harvey on April 23, 1944, in Morton, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. He was a member of Pleasant Gift M. B. Church in Morton, MS. Mr. Lloyd was a brick mason all of his life and he loved antiques and all sports. He was a Family Man and expressed his love to all of his family.
Mr. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Clyde and Lucille Lloyd; one son, Charles Boyd; one sister, Ella Mae Shephard; two brothers, Carl Lee and Otis Lee Lloyd. He is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Lloyd of Morton, MS; five sons, Curtis Hughes of Compton, CA, Timothy Lloyd (Rena) of Morton, MS, Andrea Lloyd (Lori Ann) of Morton, MS, Deonteze Lloyd (Deanne Butler) of Hillsboro, MS and W. C Lloyd, Jr. (Jack) of Crystal Springs, MS; daughter, Barbra Gatewood (Charles) of Harperville, MS; five sisters; three brothers; twelve grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Keontae Lloyd, Marcell Lloyd, Oshun Lloyd, Otarius Lloyd, Marshall Jones and Anton Gammage.
