Wade Lewis "Dubby" Campbell

Wade Lewis "Dubby" Campbell born August 26, 1941 departed this life on Friday – February 6, 2026 at the Hazard Health & Rehab being 84-years old. Dubby was born at Holly Thicket in Viper, Kentucky the son of the late Green Campbell and the late Lizzie Campbell. Other than his parents, Dubby was also preceded in death by Sisters: Eartha Hall, Eleurine Campbell, Joyce Campbell, and Shirlene Abrams; Brothers: John Raymond Campbell, Lee Campbell, Lavone & Laverne Campbell, Oliver Campbell, and Dexter Campbell; Nephews: Richard Abrams, Roger Hall, and Frank Hall; great niece, Elizabeth Hall.

Dubby always had a smile and joke, never knew a stranger. He knew you even if he never met you. Dubby loved listening to Bluegrass and Gospel music, as hobbies were many, especially coloring and board games….a fierce competitor, and he enjoyed collecting trucks and trains. With each generation he found common ground, always offering gentleness & kindness. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire his family & friends. He will be missed by all who knew him…….What an honor to be his family.

Wade Lewis "Dubby" Campbell leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Loving Caregivers: Carolyn Hall, Peggy Hall and Heather Hall all of Viper, KY; Nieces & Nephews: Bud Campbell of Pennsylvania, Rhanda Campbell of Pennsylvania, Sharon Hayes, Chuck Abrams, and Wayne Abrams all of Somerset, KY; also a host of Great-Nieces & Nephews, Great-Great-Nieces & Nephews, and Great-Great-Great-Nieces & Nephews, also a host of many other family & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Dubby Campbell will be conducted on Saturday – February 14, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Calvin Williams officiating. The Interment will follow in the Ben Cornett Cemetery located at Viper, Kentucky. The Visitation for Dubby Campbell will be held on Saturday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.
