Don Spicer born June 3, 1957 departed this life on Saturday – January 24, 2026 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 68-years old. Don was born in Gays Creek, Kentucky the son of the late Harlan Spicer and the late Rosie Spicer. Other than his parents, Don was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Don retired from Pine Branch Coal Company, he loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, and was very proud of them.

Don Spicer leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Daughter: Amy Adams & Billy of Berea, KY; Grandsons: Jayden Adams & Zach Adams; Brothers: David Spicer of Gays Creek, Ray Spicer of Gays Creek, Lionel Spicer & Connie of Buckhorn and Clint Spicer & Denise of Buckhorn; Sisters: Mary Jane Edwards of Indiana, Sarah Sandlin of Gays Creek, Vonda Griffith & Dean of Buckhorn, Lillie Davidson & Michael of Buckhorn, and Anna Napier of Buckhorn; Special Friend: Donna Morton of Gays Creek; also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Don Spicer will be held on Thursday – January 29, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Teddy Bailey officiating & Michael Davidson, Jr reading the obituary. The Interment will follow in the Spicer Cemetery located at Gays Creek, Kentucky. The Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jayden Adams, Zach Adams, James Thomas Elsea, Christopher Elsea, Clint Davidson, Terry Davidson, Michael Davidson, and Pete Campbell.
