Mr. Wade C. Chamberlain, age 76, of Mount Airy, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on June 7, 1948 in Surry County to the late Jesse and Mattie “Marie” Gammons Chamberlain. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Ruth Lowe Chamberlain; sons, Mickey Chamberlain (Monica), Mark Chamberlain (Amy); grandchildren, Hannah, Sophie, and Gabriel Chamberlain; sisters, Joyce Gillispie (Melvin), Kathleen Pyles (Victor Jr.); brothers, Charles Chamberlain (Kathy), Richard Chamberlain; sister-in-law, Janice Hauser (Bobby); brother-in-law, Jerry Lowe (Peggy) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Chamberlain was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Ted Lowe; mother-in-law, Martha B. Lowe; father-in-law, Ander Lowe. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Ronnie Chamblin. There will be no formal visitation before the service. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in honor of Mr. Chamberlain to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 1427 Edgewood Dr Suite 101, Mt Airy, NC 27030, the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017 or to Pinnacle View Baptist Church 1332 Shoals Rd, Pinnacle, NC 27043.
