Funeral services officiated by Reverend Stephen S. Irudayasamy will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 08, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home of Gueydan honoring the life of Wade Joseph Cormier, 76, who passed away on October 5, 2025. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Touchet, Seth Touchet, Noah Cormier, André Figaro, Matthew Cormier, and Aaron LeBlanc. Honorary Pallbearer will be Justin Harding.
A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Gueydan on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Wade possessed a passion for the outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing, and often shared these experiences with those he cherished. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed the challenge of crossword puzzles. Wade took great pleasure in cooking as well. Most importantly, he treasured the time spent with his loved ones, building memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Bonnie Cormier; one son, Buddy Cormier (Chrystal) of Gueydan; two daughters, Rachel Touchet (Kenneth) of Laccasine and Valen Cormier (Nick Leyva) of Lafayette; ten grandchildren, Laci Harding, Natalie LeBlanc, Matthew Cormier, Tori Trahan, Blake Touchet, Seth Touchet, Noah Cormier, André Figaro, Aiden Leyva, and Khloe Leyva; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steven Cormier of Breaux Bridge and Harry Cormier of Laccasine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Euclid Cormier and the former Lonnie Boudreaux.
