Wade T. Ely, 70, of Allentown, passed away peacefully Friday, February 6, 2026 at his home. Born in Trenton, Wade retired from the State of New Jersey and currently worked at Hamilton Post Office. As an avid baseball fan, Wade loved baseball in particular. He enjoyed the game itself, but also the sense of connection it brought. He carried that passion as a youth coach for many years and through watching the New York Yankees. He also found great comfort and joy in singing and playing the guitar. Wade will be remembered by many because of his unique way of connecting with others and always finding a way to make them laugh.
Son of the late Eunice and Melvin Ely, Wade is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Justin Pine; his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Rebecca Ely, his sister, Diana Wheeler; and his former wife, Rachel Ely.
