April 29, 1940- February 9, 2026
Wade Levensailor was born April 29, 1940 in Bend, TX to Harry and Lois Levensailor. He attended Mark Twain Elementary School on the north side of Llano. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1962 and studied as an Electrical Digital Computer Repairman at Kessler AFB in Mississippi. After training, he was stationed in Alaska, Pennsylvania, and Montana. He often talked about how beautiful Montana was and enjoyed being stationed there.
After the Air Force, he worked for NASA in Houston. While in Houston, he met his wife Mary Wheeless. They married in a small ceremony on April 29, 1967. They were married for 54 years before her death. They moved to San Antonio so he could start a job with the American Can Company.
He enjoyed fishing in his free time, visiting with brothers and friends. He enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. He loved playing Moon (not 42) - only Moon. He was always willing to "set" someone or shoot the moon to keep someone from winning the game. He spent many hours playing pool with his sons, Steven and Nathan. Every Sunday, you could catch him with his chips, dip and a cold one to watch the football games during football season. He was a quiet man but had a heart for others- especially the underdog or the ones that were less fortunate. He welcomed anyone at any time and loved any stray dog.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Lois Levensailor, wife Mary Levensailor, and his sister Marilyn Clopton.
He is survived by two brothers Billy Joe Levensailor and Lynn Levensailor, three children: sons Wade Steven Levensailor, Nathan Levensailor and wife Michelle, one daughter Sylvia Rogers and husband Danny.
Surviving grandchildren are Geneva Levensailor and fiance Charles Sprague, Anthony Levensailor and fiance Ryann Anderson, Shelton Levensailor and fiance Emily Hallford, Samuel Levensailor and Savanah Bull, Tessa Roe, and Bronson and wife Katey Roe.
Great grandchildren include Raylea Bolkenstyn and Dylan Goodwin, Shelby Brown, Brayson Brown, Hannah Roe and Bruno Rodriguez, Kyle Cox and Chloe Linke, Lucian Sprague, Zaid Sprague, Nathan Levensailor, and Freyja Levensailor.
A special thank you to Wendy Rhoades and Billie Blackwood for the love and kindness- dad enjoyed the special care and the love you shared with him. The family would also like to thank Bettie, Jamie, and Roxann Cordell for all of your help and support.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date with family and close friends.

He will continue to guide and show the way through the memories we cherish and by the example he set for his children.
