Wade Henry Moltzan, age 50, died peacefully at Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes, MN on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Wade was the third child of Henry and Polly (Pausch) Moltzan. He was born on 11/28/73 at 11:28 am in Detroit Lakes, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Loon Lake Church, Vergas. He graduated from Perham High School in 1992. He attended Detroit Lakes Vo-Tech for Auto Body. He was employed at various construction companies over the years.
He will be remembered for his meticulous cleaning, wood cutting and burning, ax throwing, hunting, fishing, cutting grass for hours at a time and his unending collecting and bringing home what others didn’t want. He will also be remembered for the love of his dog, Luna Rose, watermelon, pancakes and Dr. Pepper, for his courageous fight with Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) and lastly his request to “Hurry, hurry”!
He is survived by his parents, Henry and Polly (Pausch) Moltzan, siblings Jennifer (Jeff) Graphenteen, Joanna (Mike) Ringsrud and Matthew Moltzan. His nieces Jazmine (Sean) Hummel and Olivia Graphenteen. His nephews Gunner and Chase Graphenteen. His great niece Thea Hummel. His beloved dog, Luna Rose. Aunts Donna Hoffman, Carol Mills, Debi Eischens. Godparents – Uncle Dennis and Terry Pausch. Great Aunts Leona Youngman, Adeline Sherbrooke, Sharon Wischnak. Special cousins Holly, Kyle, Karrin, Carmen and many other cousins and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Henry & Bertha Moltzan, Reinhard & Gertrude Pausch, Uncles Rodney Hoffman, Melvin Mills, Jerry Moltzan, Louie Sazama and Aunt Shirley Sazama.

Graveside service for Wade will be held at St. Paul’s Loon Lake Cemetery, 31385 County Hwy 4, Vergas, MN 56587, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11am with Pastor Del Stohs officiating. A luncheon will follow after in the church.
